Argentinian town La Rioja (170’000 inhabitants) is located in the North-Western part of the country, in a very sparsely populated area. The Council noted several mobility-related problems and needed inputs to bridge information gaps hand help shape a future integrated vision. This project aimed to:
This project implied an important field data recollection (flows, public transports use, …) in order to address the lack of information, and a close work with La Rioja’s technical team.
Within the consulting group, Tamara Bozovic’s contribution included public transport operation and use assessment, field data recollection to supply the missing elements, data analysis, staff training (introduction to the urban transportation planning: vision, roles, multi-modal accessibility, specific public transport and active modes planning, traffic management, road safety), the communication of the diagnosis results to a non-professional audience, an evaluation of the existing projects regarding the defined lines of action, and a participation to the territorial analysis work and lines of action.
