Communication and concertation

An important communication and concertation work has particularely been carried out in the framework of the project of Lausanne’s public transport masterplan, that meant important changes in terms of service. It aimed the Municipalities and the general audience and addressed particularly:

  • The roles of public transport, in the context of the urban development’s stakes (densification, needed modal transfer towards public transport and the soft modes)
  • The service caracteristics that will be needed in order to achieve these challenges
  • The masterplan’s elaboration process, the variants and their characteristics (service, costs, expected effects)
  • The recommended network and service
  • The recommended implementation strategy, the first step and its costs
  • The works to be planned (street design, pedestrian and cyclist accessibility)
