I am a walkability researcher (PhD, Auckland University of Technology) and a recovering MSc transportation engineer (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology), with a 17-year experience as consultant and project manager. My work was mainly focused on alternative modes, efficient and sustainable solutions participating to the quality of urban life. My professional career incited me to pursue research in walkability, so to deliver practical insights regarding the retrofit of street environments, addressing barriers experienced by diverse people, disabled or non-disabled.
